Live Video Community Interaction

March 4, 2018

Background

Your smartphone might make you think that people prefer social media vs. in-person interactions. However, nothing drives strong communities better than in-person and live interactions. Even live video engages better than recorded video. Just look at the popularity of Facebook Live.

Social media and technology do not replace the need for in-person interactions, social media can actually make in-person interactions more valuable. Since consumers are already connected in the virtual world, in-person relationships can be built at a rapid pace because you already feel as though you “know” the other person.

Context of Challenge

We're looking to pilot and experiment with a startup that has developed a cutting-edge solution in the community engagement space of live video. Our aim is to connect audiences together through a unified platform, to share their experiences, in real-time, with the end-goal of providing a greater likelihood of face-to-face interactions.

Why Apply

A successful applicant will be invited to partner with us on this pilot and receive compensation for doing so. Additionally, upon a successful pilot, the startup will likely be given additional opportunities to partner and increase our level of partnership. Investment opportunities may then also be possible depending on the success of the engagement.
